Richard Nelli is vice president of product management for OptumInsight. He is a skilled healthcare IT solutions architect with a deep understanding of revenue cycle best practices, strong standards-based integration and interoperability expertise.
He has served in various product development and product management roles during his career, leading initiatives involving patient access, EDI, claims and remittance management, ePrescribing, health information exchange and medical banking. Before joining OptumInsight, Richard was chief technology officer at CareMedic Systems, and he served as vice president of product management at Quovadx where he guided the company's health care interoperability solutions strategy. Prior to Quovadx, he spent 10 years at QuadraMed, leading their product development efforts. Richard speaks regularly at industry events and is active in such health care organizations as Cooperative Exchange, WEDI, HFMA, HIMSS, and The Medical Banking Project.
Richard holds a BBA in Management Information Systems from the University of Mississippi.
